AMS EVO X Track car buildup IN ONLY 10 WEEKS!!!

About a week ago a customer of our approached us with the idea of building a track EVO X. He wanted a turn key track car that he could pick up from us and take right to the track to have some fun. We helped him out in negotiations on a brand new Silver EVO X. The dealership drove the car over to us and with only 30 miles on the odometer we began the build

The kicker is we only have 10 weeks to bring this from a stock EVO X to a fully prepared track car. Let the games BEGIN!

The part list for this car is pretty clean and simple. Its a formula similar to a couple other EVO X's we have built and quite simply....it WORKS!

The car is currently at a body shop getting the roll cage painted and it should be back in our hands Monday or Tuesday. The rest is easy, we have a build engine ready to go in, gotta tune her and take out to the track to adjust the JRZ Triple adjustables and this baby will be ready for pick up!

Here are some quick update pics

We had to modify the door panels to fit the cage.

The pieces removed from the factory door panels

the newly crafted panel

to secure the new panel Ivo installed threaded receivers in the unused holes in the door.

Ivo working on the panels.

Here is what finished product looks like - a quick and cost effective solution. We're also going to powdercoat the panel black to have it blend in a little better.

Interior is pretty much wrapped up. Notice the fire extinguisher system control box mounted under the climate controls and the red spray nozzles on the sides of the center console.

The Fire extinguisher mounted behind the passenger seat.

The AMS EVO X Surge Tank system and the fire extinguisher nozzles.

A quick shot of the engine bay.

And this is what the car looks like now. We're still waiting for the front lip to come in...
